Bridal Veil Lakes Wedding: Billy and Michelle Take Hood River

Thinking back on an incredible 2019 season I wanted to kick off our real weddings post with this epic 2 day celebration for Billy and Michelle in Hood River over Labor Day weekend. Scroll to the bottom for a complete Vendor List with links!

These two are so special to our team and we worked together for almost 2 years choosing venues, vendors, working out bus schedules and creating a vision for their celebration of love. First of all, these two are the coolest people on Earth. Their vision and ideas were so authentic to them, and personal, and brilliant, and so much more. Can you tell we are still obsessed?

We kicked off the wedding weekend with a perfect and gorgeous wedding at Bridal Veil Lakes. This day knocked our socks off, you guys and we can't wait to share it all. The entire day was captured so beautifully by Sara Byrne so please enjoy!

Guests arrived to a crab cake and rose station at the entrance to the ceremony path which was pretty much the bomb! Crave Catering helped us come up with some really amazing and new ideas for this event. They have always been our faves, but this menu really killed it!

The ceremony was incredibly touching and conducted by a dear friend. The breathtaking floral arch was created by Cynthia with Flower Friends and it stopped us in our tracks. A short and sweet ceremony was followed by a delicious and lively cocktail hour.

Guests were given their table assignments by finding their hand-written letter from the couple to read on the way to their seats. Each envelope was hand-addressed by Hey Halle. This was the first time one of our couples had done this and it was remarkable. Guests spent the rest of the evening sharing what was in their notes and it really set the tone of intimacy in such a large event. We loved it!

Dinner was served family style and treated guests to a true Pacific NW feast. From seasonal veggies to salmon and short ribs it was incredible. The couple opted for a plated pavlova instead of a conventional cake and it was perfect. Toasts were shared by many friends and family members and each one was wonderful. Tableware styled from Party Place was enhanced with more floral from Flower Friends and custom menus from Hey Halle.

We capped the night off with a super fun and bad ass performance from Precious Byrd. We worked with the team at Party Place to make the couple's dream of dancing in the meadow come to life and were able to install a full stage, dance floor and lounge along the water to make for a killer backdrop for the party! The couple shared their first dance under lights hung expertly by Green Light Creative and everyone danced their little booties off.

The following day Billy and Michelle wanted to host one more time! They chose the amazing Mt. Hood backdrop at Mt. View Orchards and brought on Solstice Wood Fire Pizza to treat their guests to lawn games and wood-fired pizza to bring an epic weekend to a close. 1927 S'mores brought the sweet with their s'mores cart and guests reminisced about the magic they lived the day before in a perfect farewell dinner.

This one goes down in the record books for us and we will forever be honored to have been trusted to build it. I'm not crying, you're crying!
